Support Autism With the Owls

April Is Autism Awareness Month, and today is World Autism Awareness Day, and in honor of that, we're trying to do a little something extra to help out.

One of our members, lalala08 is participating in Autism Speaks' Walk Now For Autism in her hometown of Lehigh Valley, PA and we thought that would be a great cause to contribute to! So, some of our members are donating items to the team shop at OfftheWall and we're giving 100% of the profits from those items directly to the Lehigh Valley Walk!

There's a wide variety of items, including crochet, felt, drawings, photography, jewelry, and more!

Most items are autism themed by either having a puzzle piece, using primary colors, or both, as shown in this posting! Click on any picture to be taken to the listing on Etsy!

Also, Etsy members who have a loved one impacted by autism might be interested in joining Etsy for Autism

Some Owls getting featured (and a bit of cross teams promotion)

One of our members, PiratesDreamofPearls is also a member of the Etsy Supply Street Team and was featured Friday on their blog!

Woo, Click this to check out the article!

Their blog articles include highlights of team shops, a series of shop advice columns where they blog about useful tools and info for Etsy sellers, Etsy events, team sales, and other info. It's a very useful resource, check it out!

Also, as a bit of a side note, the Etsy Supply Street Team is like Etsy supply heaven... they have so many great things. If you're looking for some craft supplies, throw in their team tag with your search to get some great shops!

(By the way, PiratesDreamofPearls is a co-op destash shop made up of PresentsforPirates, suenosdejmi, and KnitandPearl )

A bit of cross-team promoting...

One thing I would like to be more involved in is sharing with other Etsy teams, so when someone Twittered me the Owls earlier with a link to the Creative Glass Guild of Etsy's Current Creative Challenge, I decided to share it here on our blog too!

Etsy teams are just such a neat idea, and I really like the idea of being able to reach out to other networks. So, something we're going to be doing more this year is promoting other teams as well as our own team members!

So...

GO VOTE in the CGGE team challenge. They have some really awesome entrants and there's still a few days left to vote.
