Dia de Los Muertos Challenge

The Owls are here with another challenge! We've crafted up some items in honor of Dia de los Muertos (also known as Day of the Dead or All Souls Day). The holiday is celebrated on November 2nd (after the Catholic holiday of All Saints Day) and honors those who have passed on before us.

Owls August Travel Challenge

Congrats July Challenge Winner(s!)

Our first cross team challenge was a success! We're proud to annouce that the winner was Lolos from the Spanglish team for her awesome Frida Kahlo sculpture.

Second place belongs to SquareJane from the Owls for her Frida Kahlo Art doll . Close runners up were BululuStudio from Etsy Spanglish and Suenosdejmi (who is a member of both teams).

For our creative challenge this month, we decided to do something a little different. We invited the Spanglish team to create with us, and set out to pay tribute to Frida Kahlo.

Sunny Summer! Etsy Owls June Challenge!

In honor of summer's gorgeous summer days, we decided to make June's challenge a color challenge. The rules were simple: make your item primarily one or all of the selected summer colors (yellow, orange, red). After that the rest was up to the crafter, and the results were some amazing intrepretations on the summer color scheme.

Cinco De Mayo, an Etsy Owls Challenge!

We decided to honor Cinco de Mayo by having ourselves a little creative challenge. The theme was simple, all you had to do was make something honoring Mexican or Mexican-American culture. Our last challenge was just a few weeks ago, so due to the shorter creating period we only had 3 owlies enter this challenge, but no worries, because all 3 of them brought awesome stuff to the table.

The OWLS take on Valentine's Day

The winner of our previous challenge HollyStott, got to choose the theme for this challenge! Congrats Holly and great job on the last challenge! She decided to do Valentine's Day, but with a twist. The main objective of this challenge was to make an item you would give to your best friend for Valentine's Day, but back in high school!
